About the role

As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the technical direction, architecture, and development of our platform. You will lead a team of talented engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and services. You will be playing a key role in setting up the architectural foundation and direction to our core engineering platform projects.

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of a scalable and robust software platform for our new coworking platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Architect and optimize system architecture, infrastructure, and APIs to support the growth and evolution of our platform, taking into account scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives and user needs.
• Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and debugging to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering, and evaluate their potential impact and relevance to our platform.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in our development processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality across the engineering organization.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives, projects, and strategic planning efforts to support the overall growth and success of the company.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-9 years of experience in software development, with a strong track record of architecting and delivering complex, scalable, and mission-critical systems.
• Proven expertise in full-stack development, including proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby) and modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Extensive experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers, foster a culture of learning and growth, and drive technical excellence and innovation.
• Proven track record of driving technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap, and delivering high-quality software products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
