About the role

The Product team is responsible for implementation and support of a robust and resilient infrastructure and delivery for our Members and internal teams. MEP Engineers are a part of the process from Pre-Design through to the end of the Construction and Closeout phase. The team is responsible for investigating the site to see if the building system will be capable of meeting WeWork needs and standards.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough due diligence for WeWork spaces as per WW MEP Standards
  • Provide input to preliminary space layouts with regards to mechanical room, electrical room, HVAC unit location, plumbing riser, etc.
  • Advise/oversee the work of MEP consultants including zoning, equipment location placement, etc. as per WW MEP standards
  • Review drawing/draft received from MEP consultants
  • Develop MEP Scope of Work and Bill of Quantities
  • Spot checking engineering contractor’s installation during Construction
  • Spot checking of testing and commissioning
  • Assist punch list walk through and closeout of a job
  • Participate in MEP Ops training
  • Participate in Site/Project kick-off meeting with internal stakeholders
  • Attend project scrums, pre-bid, weekly design review and PNM meetings
  • Review LL technical documentation, LL deliverables, MEP DBR
  • Review progress sets, tender documents, lease, final layout and sign-off
  • Enable engineering hand-off to EOR
  • Share MEP costing in coordination with procurement
  • Site visits to spot check installation works and T&C activities

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • BE/B Tech or equivalent college degree in a relevant field
  • 6+ years of experience in HVAC, Electrical, etc. projects
  • Experience in consulting or supporting project delivery
  • Strong understanding of MEP system design
  • Ability to manage multiple, often competing, priorities and tasks and follow through to completion on strict deadlines
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in evaluating problems and creating solutions for Members
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users, including non-technical users
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to details, ability to deal with ambiguity and work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Result oriented with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
